Volume 63, Issue 7. Cover Photograph: The GFP reporter gene driven by a cis-regulatory module of mouse Robo3 was electroporated into the chick neural tube. Subsequently, GFP expression (yellow) was visualized simultaneously with immunostaining for the spinal neuron subpopulation markers, LHX1 (magenta) and ISL1/2 (cyan), in the transverse section through the embryonic spinal cord (center) and dorsal root ganglia (both sides). This experiment confi rmed the enhancer function of the Robo3 cis-regulatory module in amniotes, but this sequence is not conserved in teleosts. (see Mukaigasa et al., pp. 372–391).
