https://meetings.embo.org/event/26-x-chromosome
We are pleased to announce the EMBO Workshop "Dosage compensation and evolution of the X chromosome," co-organized by WPI-ASHBi (Kyoto University) and EMBO. The workshop will be held on 19–22 October 2026 at Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan.
This international workshop focuses on X chromosome biology, a key determinant of sex differences in development and disease. Leading experts will gather to discuss X-chromosome inactivation and its regulation. The program will highlight recent advances in human in vitro models, evolutionary diversity across species, and the role of sex chromosomes in development and disease.
